The Phantom Drive support forum

Answers:

System : Windows XP SP3 2G Ram, Celeron Processor. 2.66 GHZ

During some maintenance, I had to de-install Phantom Drive completely using Revouninstaller. I then reinstalled it.

- Under windows explorer, the virtual drive appears as
DVD-RAM Drive (G), while in a previous installation on the same machine it showed with label "Phantom Drive" ( as set in the Settings). Under Properties it shows as : "Phantom DVD-RAM DVDR V10 SCSI CdRom".

When I create an DVD+R ISO blank disk, the Drive image changes to "CD Drive (G:)" with the inserted image as DVD-R.

old issue : I tested some (not all) of the other blnak disk creation and the icon when inserted doesn't always match the type ( even though Properties identifies it properly)

thanks

Drive label

The drive label can be set in the Ohantom Drive settings dailog which corresponds to the registry string in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\H+H Software GmbH\Phantom Drive\Settings\ExplorerDriveLabel. The value is set to "Phantom Drive" per default.

The problem of changing to the wrong drive image (CD instead of DVD) in Windows Explorer could not be reproduced. However I presume that this is a visual problem only...!?
