It is strange that the Phantom drive shows up under the Eject USB list in WIn 7 but not in XP. Worse yet, you can actually eject it with no apparent way og getting it back without re-booting.

In Win 7 the 'Eject USB' function was changed so the Phantom drive is shown.

Changing this would cost a lot of time.

Yes. you are right, re-booting is the only way getting the Phantom drive back.
